What does CoolBeez do?
CoolBeez helps ensure that word of mouth recommendations your customers make about products they’ve purchased from your store benefit your store.
Our technology is based on an in-depth analysis of human behaviours related to sharing recommendations between friends and relatives. We use algorithms (which will soon be AI-enhanced) to analyse the recommendation patterns apparent in human behavior. And we apply the learnings to improve sales and conversions for your online store.
It’s an approach that’s proven to boost sales. Our statistics show that over 7% of customer visits to your store via a CoolBeez recommendation result in a purchase.
How much effort will it take from me to use CoolBeez?
The answer is not very much. We know how busy online shop owners can get. That’s why we’ve made using CoolBeez quick and easy. Here’s a breakdown of rough timings:
- Installing CoolBeez and completing your registration—5 to 10 mins
- Setting up your emails-you can use our templates or customize the design and content of the emails—up to 30mins if you have things like your logo and other branding elements to hand. Of course, if you want to add your own messaging and redesign the templates, it will take longer.
- That’s it. After that, you sit back and let CoolBeez do its thing.
Which online shops is CoolBeez compatible with?
At present, CoolBeez tools are available for use with online shops that are based on Shopify, Shopware5, Shopware6, and PrestaShop engines. More stores will be added to this list in the coming months, including for the popular WooCommerce plugin. How do I set-up my CoolBeez account?
You just need to register at CoolBeez as a Seller. It’s easy and takes less than 5 minutes. Once you’ve registered your details, you’re just 3 steps away from getting CoolBeez working for you.
What 3-steps do I need to take to setup CoolBeez?

How do I design and manage my email templates?
We provide ready-made default email templates in English and German that you can use. These are the emails that will be sent to customers who buy products from you. They will contain links to the product in your store that customers will forward to their friends and other contacts. You can even completely re-write the templates in your own words and in any language. If you want to add your own branding (logo, typeface, colors) that’s easy too.
How do I configure my referral reward?
This is the reward you want to give customers whose recommendation results in a sale for your store. If you are selling products, we recommend starting with a 10% reward. For services, you may consider 25% as a starting point. You can always change it later.
By default, the reward comes in the form of a discount code that can be used by the referrer for a future purchase in your shop. The discount is only issued when there is a successful purchase from your store through the recommendation link shared by your customer.
Do I need to pay for clicks or shares of recommendations?
CoolBeez is NOT a pay per click kind of service. You only issue discount codes to a recommender if a successful new purchase is made through that recommendation. So it is 100% risk free.
How do I automate the sending of my emails?
We provide you with an easy to use and convenient schedule that puts you in control. You choose how many days after the order the first message is sent, and how often the emails are sent out.
Who sends out the emails?
It’s best to use your own email provider by generating API access keys to us. We’ll be happy to help you with this, or help you to set up a free account with a popular email provider SendGrid.
Alternatively, we can offer you access to a special service that will see your emails sent through our own email channel (also hosted by SendGrid). However, this is not recommended as it may lead to lower conversions.
My shop is built on Shopify. How do I start using CoolBeez?
You can install the CoolBeez app directly at Shopify Public App Store. It should take less than 5 minutes.
My shop is built on Shopware5, Shopware6 or PrestaShop. How do I start using CoolBeez?
You need to register on CoolBeez as a shop and generate API access keys for us. It should take less than 5 minutes. Please contact us for assistance.
My shop is built on WooCommerce or another shop engine. How do I start using CoolBeez?
We are working on WooCommerce integration, which should be available in the coming months. More integrations will be completed by the end of this year. Please register here to receive our updates and special offers.
How much does CoolBeez cost?
We take 5% affiliate commission. If you are an Enterprise client and/or require customization, please contact us here.
Is there a free trial period?
Yes, we offer all new customers a 30-day free trial. During this period, you pay nothing to CoolBeez, but you’ll still need to offer a referral discount coupon to your recommenders.
PRIVACY AND PROTECTION
Does CoolBeez keep personal data of my customers?
CoolBeez does not keep personal data of your customers such as names, addresses, phone numbers, payment, and billing information.
Does CoolBeez have access to my business data? Is my business data protected?
When your shop connects to CoolBeez, you grant us access to certain data related to orders from your shop, and to certain product and pricing information. This access is necessary for CoolBeez to perform its service. All order-related data is retrieved only when needed and is never kept by CoolBeez for longer than it’s necessary to perform the action for which the data in question has been retrieved.
Some data related to product descriptions and pricing is kept by CoolBeez in order to be able to effectively direct potential customers to product pages on your shop. The same information that CoolBeez keeps is also publicly accessible on the site of your shop.
